Chapter III – The Call to Rootedness
The Delvers came forth into the world of commerce and busyness.
But many were unrooted: their feet wandered far, their hearts were never home.
And so the Baobab spoke again:
“As I am rooted to the earth, so too must you be rooted. Return to your home-soil. Work from your dwelling at least two days in each circling of the week. In this, you honor the Root, you guard the Trunk, and you rest beneath the shade of Being.”
Thus was born the Discipline of Rootedness: to remain grounded in one’s dwelling, to balance labor with reflection, and to let roots sink deep before branches spread wide.
